St Elizabeth Fund - Applicant information

Times are economically very challenging indeed for many people at present, as we all know from the media. If you are really struggling financially, the St Elizabeth Fund may be able to help you. It exists to support local people who find themselves in urgent financial need. Whilst unfortunately long-term help cannot be offered, the Fund helps by making small, one-off grants in emergency situations where no other relief is readily available.

Examples of support could be covering the cost of repairing or replacing essential everyday household items, such as a broken-down washing machine, cooker or refrigerator or buying a new one. Grants might also be made to pay for other things, such as bedding, children’s clothing, or purchasing medical aids. Depending on the situation, grants could be given to pay for other expenses.

  • Applicants should be resident in the parish of Alderley Edge or have a local connection.
  • The maximum single grant is £300.
  • Up to three applications from the same person or family can be made in a calendar year.
  • The administrators of the fund are our vicar Robin Pye, our pastoral worker, Sue Mills and an external administrator, the minister of the Alderley Edge Methodist church who will consider all applications.

If you are interested in applying for a grant or would like more information, please, do not hesitate to contact Rev Robin Pye on 07794 122602 (email revrobinpye@gmail.com) or Sue Mills on 07711 678913 (email suemills@ntlworldcom). They will be very happy to discuss this with you. You can be assured that your call and all aspects of your application will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

The St Elizabeth Fund is there to help!

Thank you very much indeed for your interest.
